How do I open a Business Online Banking Account with New Peoples Bank?
You must first complete an Business Online Banking Application form online or visit one of our branch locations to complete the required information. If the application is submitted online, an information kit will be mailed to you to provide us the detail of account and user information for your business access. Once the Business Online information is set up you will receive a mailing containing your security TOKEN and detail of how to utilize this TOKEN for secure access to your accounts.
How do I log on to the Online Banking system after I've completed the Application?
Business Online Banking access is protected by a LOGIN process utilizing state-of-the-art Multi Factor Authentication techniques. An ACCESS ID and INITIAL PASSWORD are required for first time LOGIN. You may choose the ACCESS ID and INITIAL PASSWORD or have them assigned for you. Using this first time LOGIN your security TOKEN (provided to you by New Peoples Bank) must be activated. This TOKEN will be used to generate your PASSWORD for future system access.
ACCESS ID – any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters – minimum length 8 – maximum length 19
INITIAL PASSWORD – any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters – must contain at least one letter and at least one number – minimum length 8 – maximum length 17
During the first LOGIN – using your ACCESS ID and INITIAL PASSWORD – your TOKEN must be activated. During the activation process, you will choose a 4 digit PIN (any combination of 4 numbers) and complete other information to protect your account information as you communicate with New Peoples Bank personnel regarding your Business Online Banking.
Future LOGINs will require the use of your ACCESS ID and an updated PASSWORD (12 digits – 8 unique digits from your TOKEN and your 4 digit PIN.) Note again that the 8 digits from your TOKEN will change with each LOGIN.
What do I need to do if I have forgotten my PIN and/or lost or damaged my token?
If you are unable to access the system with your current ACCESS ID / TOKEN / PIN combination, have lost or damaged the TOKEN, or have forgotten your PIN number - simply give us a toll free call at 866-337-9011 or 276-873-7098 (local to Honaker, Virginia) for assistance from our staff.
